Castlegate Quay Stockton

8th August 2009

Four members of Darlington Dolphin Masters took to the Tees for the Two Bridges Open Water Swim, at Stockton on Saturday 8th August. A warm, sunny day meant that conditions were good, with clear skies and warm, relatively calm water.

Paul Turner took part in the British Gas ASA Masters Championships 2009, 3000m event. He completed the 3 lap course in 1:02:01, finishing 6th in the men's 50-54 age group.
Dave Rutter and Brian Duffell took part in the Mens Open Water 1000m Event, finishing in 17th and 24th position respectively, with times of 17:36 and 20:11.
Joanne Todd also took part in the Womens 1000m event, finishing in 10th position, with a time of 18:03.

It is the first time that swimmers from the club have taken part in this event, and the day was enjoyed by all.
